SL SELF LOCKING

SL SELF LOCKING

The leg design was developed based on the biomechanical concept of a self-locking mechanism. It is installed without additional centralizers, it is fixed in the channel according to the principle of "divided cement mantle". Flat, double, wedge-shaped profile, without a collar, provides reliable fixation with the correct positioning of the legs. The cement mantle should be located only on the front and back surfaces of the legs, the entire surface of the legs, except for the cone and neck, should have a rough surface to improve adhesion of bone cement to the material of the legs of the prosthesis. On the front and rear surfaces of the legs longitudinal grooves are made for the entire length of the legs, to increase the area of contact with the cement mantle.
Spraying with porous titanium for an uncemented leg is applied to the proximal leg, with the exception of the cone and neck. The cone for head seating is 12/14 and is adapted for BIOLOX® DELTA ceramic and metal CoCrMo heads.
